21 Year Old Allegedly Shots Girlfriend In Ghaziabad

In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his girlfriend and then attempted suicide. Reported in Ghaziabad's Nandgram, Rahul Choudhury (26) entered the victim, Deepmala (20) house, when her parents had gone out to temple. 20 Year Old B.Tech Student Stabbed To Death

In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old student studying B.Tech at Patiala's Punjabi University was reportedly murdered with sharp weapons. On February 27, the Punjab police has reached the spot and an investigation in the matter is on. The police identified the victim as Navjot Singh, who was stabbed brutally after a clash between two college student groups. The opposition BJP leader took a dig and criticised Mann-led AAP government.

Man Out On Bail In 2020 Rape Case Allegedly Rape Same Woman

Out on bail in rape charges in a 2020 rape case, a man allegedly raped the same victim (19) again with the point of a knife. On August 3, the Madhya Pradesh Police confirmed the arrest and said the man who was released recently went to the victim's house in Jabalpur district, raped and threatened her to withdraw the complaint. The victim registered a complaint and search is underway.

21 Year Old College Student Kidnapped, Raped In Tripura, FIR Registered

In Tripura, a 21-year-old college student was allegedly kidnapped, while she was returning home from college, and then was raped. As per reports, three youths forcefully abducted the victim from the Melagarh petrol pump and took to a house near Hadra. The police with the help of locals rescued the woman, but couldn't nab the accused, who fled the spot, said Officer in Charge (OC), Melagarh police station, Kamalendu Dhar.

Woman And Her 6-Year-Old Raped In Moving Car: Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, a woman and her six-year-old daughter were allegedly gang-raped, confirmed police on June 27.  Getting into details,  they were raped in a moving car in Haridwar's Roorkee, by one, identified as Sonu with his friends, who allegedly offered lift to the victim.  SP Pramendra Doval said some friends of the man were already in the car and dumped the body in a canal, after the crime.

Kerala HC Issues Notice To Bishop Franco In Nun Rape Case

The Kerala HC issued notice to Kerala Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who has been accused of rape. The court admitted the appeal of the State Government and victim, demanding to quash orders of the Session court, which acquitted Bishop in the rape charges. Notably, Bishop is accused of raping a nun several times between 2014-and 2016. A case was registered in 2018 after trials, on January 14, he was acquitted.

Maulvi Arrested For Assaulting 8-Year-Old: Maharashtra

In Palghar, Maharashtra, a Maulvi was arrested for allegedly abducting a minor, and sexually assaulting her. On March 27, the accused offered chocolate to the 8-year-old and allegedly abused her. He was caught by locals, who later informed the police. A case has been registered under various provisions of IPC and POCSO Act. Reportedly, the accused is in judicial custody and will be produced before court on March 28.

Trafficked woman reunited with her family after 12 years in Arunachal Pradesh. As per PTI, the woman was trafficked when she was eight-year-old, when her step mother sold her to a man in Assam. Later, a local in Assam bought the girl as domestic help, and underwent tortures. UK Seeks Repatriation Of Bodies Of 3 Victims Killed In 2002 Gujarat Riots

A United Kingdom MP sought the repatriation of the bodies of three victims in the 2002 Gujarat riots, on February 9. Marking the 20th anniversary of the riots, Labour MP Kim Leadbeater made the demand for repatriation of bodies during a discussion. Notably, the Indian High Commission in London said it “took note” of the discussion, and said, the families of the victims had not yet approached the Indian mission.
