Man Loses Rs 9.5 Lakhs In Online Banking Fraud: Maharastra
A Thane man became a victim of cyber fraud and lost Rs 9.53 lakh. The amount was allegedly withdrawn from the bank account by an unknown fraudster, who posed as a customer service executive and asked the victim to download an app. Furthermore he asked personal information. Reported with the Maharashtra police, an investigation after the victim's complaint is has been started.

Dalit Boy Shot In Leg For Not Greeting Others; 1 Arrested, 1 Absconding
A boy from the Dalit community, studying in 10th class, was shot by his friends in Agra, for not greeting them. The victim was shot in the leg, and is out of danger. Police said that one of the accused has been arrested, while the other is on the run. Meanwhile, FIR has been lodged under section 307 of the IPC and relevant sections of the SC/ST Act.

Yogi Govt To Give 50k Compensation To Families Of COVID-19 Victims
In the biggest relief to the bereaved families of COVID-19, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on October 17 announced to provide a compensation of Rs 50,000 to the victim family in the state. Issuing the detailed guideline about financial relief, CM Yogi also directed the officials to ensure every eligible family gets the compensation. Reportedly, district magistrates in the state will supervise the work.

"Chills Down My Spine": Hana Khan, Victim Of Sulli Deals Cyberbullying
Sulli Deals, an open-source app on the web platform GitHub was exposed for cyberbullying on July 3 for illegally obtaining Indian Muslim women's pictures and symbolizing their sale. Hana Khan, a commercial pilot and victim of the app said, "They'd taken my photo from Twitter and it had my user name." According to her, there wasn't a real auction, as the purpose was to degrade and humiliate.
