In Madhya Pradesh's Baleshwar temple, seven devotees including two women died after the floor sink, while devotees were offering prayers. The tragic incident occurred when the devotees gathered to celebrate the ocassion of Ram Navami, on March 30. In total, 25 devotees sink, of which 11 died. Hollywood Actress Angelina Jolie Visits Flood Affected Pakistan
Hollywood star Angelina Jolie on Tuesday arrived in Pakistan to support people affected by the devastating floods in the country. The "Salt" actress landed in Dadu, Pakistan, and heard from people affected directly about their needs and about steps to prevent such suffering in the future. Notably, Pakistan is flooded making life of 33 million people in the region miserable and caused heavy property damage.

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Promises Financial Aid To Godavari Flood Victims
Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assured financial assistance and other relief measures to flood-hit victims in the Godavari region. After reviewing the flood situation, CM Jagan promised that his government would provide full aid to the people who suffered damage due to the massive flood in the river Godavari. Furthermore, his government also provided 25 kg of rice, food grains and Rs 2,000 each to victims of the flood.

Congress Delegations Meet Families Affected By Jahangirpuri Demolition
After the NDMC's encroachment drive in Jahangirpuri, a Congress delegation led by GS Ajay Maken on April 21, visited Jahangirpuri and met with the families, affected by the demolition drive. Notably, on April 20, the NDMC demolished properties at the clash hit Jahangirpuri area of North Delhi. Maken said, "We have come to Jahangirpuri to meet the victims. Police have been cooperative". Notably, SC issued stay-order for demolition.

Jharkhand Govt Announces Rs 5 Lakh Ex-Gratia To Deogarh Accident Victims
During a high-level meeting, the Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the victims of Deogarh accident and Lohardaga violence. On April 12, CM Soren said, the state government will provide treatment and other assistance to the victims, and ordered a high-level inquiry into both the incidents. Notably, three people died in the cable rope incident in Deogarh, whereas in Lohardaga, a man succumbed to his injuries.

Punjab Principal Arrested For Alleged Sexual Assault For Over 14 Years
In Punjab's Mohali, a 54-year-old school principal has been arrested for sexually assaulting girls over 14 years. The accused was arrested after 198 photos and videos, allegedly filmed by the principal was leaked and went viral, on February 15. The matter was unaddressed for years, as no one from the village dared to complain due to his political connections. The Police has formed a SIT and is investigating the matter.
