Two days after the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) successfully landed lunar spacecraft Chandrayaan-3 near the moon’s south pole, making India the first country in the world to achieve this feat, the space agency released the first images of the rover (Pragyan). The images were shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, with caption, "“...and here is how the Chandrayaan-3 rover ramped down from the lander to the lunar surface."

In Madhya Pradesh's Guna district, a minor boy was allegedly beaten for allegations of stealing wheat grains, confirmed police on April 25. The incident came to light after a video surfaced on social media. The Madhusudangarh Police in charge Anup Bhargava registered a case against Shivraj Bhil and five unidentified persons under section 323, 324, and 342 of the IPC. The investigation into the matter is underway.

Afsar Ahmad, an e-rickshaw driver in Kanpur, was assaulted on August 11 by some Hindu extremists forcing him to chant "Jai Shri Ram" while his five-year-old daughter cried and pleaded to set him free. The men were seen wearing saffron scarves accusing Ahmad of raising anti-national slogans while he repeatedly denied it. Fortunately, the police rescued the duo to a police station. Three people have been arrested hitherto.
