PM Modi To Inaugurate 75 Digital Bank Units, 2 In Jammu & Kashmir

PM Narendra Modi will dedicate two digital banking units of Jammu & Kashmir Bank to the nation on October 16, said PMO. The launch of 75 digital banking units (DBUs) of different banks across the country of which two are of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, via video conference. Of the two, one is the SSI branch at Lal Chowk in Srinagar and the other is Channi Rama branch in Jammu.

Zoom Breaches Data Privacy; Agrees For Settlement Fee Of $85 Mn

Following a lawsuit that was slapped on Zoom claiming it stealthily transferred the users' personal data to Facebook, Google, and Linkedin, the platform has agreed to pay a settlement fee of $85 million in the USA on August 1. The money will be used to set up ''a non-reversionary cash fund to pay valid claims, notice, any attorneys' fees.'' The settlement is yet to be approved by the court.

If We Curb COVID-19 in Top 10 States, India will Defeat the Virus: PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi had a video conference with Chief Ministers on August 11 to assess the Covid-19 situation in India. He informed that ten states alone accounted for over 80 percent of the active cases. "A view has emerged that if we defeat Coronavirus in 10 states, the nation will also win," he said, emphasising on the urgent need to increase testing in Bihar, Gujarat, UP, West Bengal, and Telangana.
