Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Postpones Press Conference Ahead Of Assembly Polls

Facebook Announces To launch Its Portal Video-Calling Device
Social Media giant Facebook is likely to launch its Portable version of the Portal video calling devices. Reportedly, the company is looking forward to entering the digital device market after the launch. According to the reports, the portal device will cost around $199 (USD). Delhi High Court Gives Nod To Virtual Marriage Registration
In the latest development, the Delhi HC has permitted to allow the registration of marriages through virtual presence. The decision comes in response to a plea filed by a US-Indian couple who were repeatedly asked to be present in person. The court said, "mandatory presence negates the purpose of enactment of registration order." However, the registration has to be done in the physical presence with all documents including two witnesses.

Telegram Introduces End-to-End Encrypted Video Call
WhatsApp's closest rival Telegram announced on August 14 that it is launching a video call functionality in all its desktop and mobile apps. The feature is currently only available in alpha mode, on both android and iOS version of the app. "Like all other video content on Telegram, video calls support picture-in-picture mode, allowing you to scroll through chats and multitask while maintaining eye contact", the company said.

PORTL Introduces World's First Hologram Machine for Video Calls
To advance the video calls' experience, PORTL, a Los Angeles company, has created a device that could beam a life-sized hologram in real-time. The device is around seven feet tall, five feet wide and two feet deep. With device been installed, a camera and a white background are the only other tools required to beam the hologram. Currently, it costs around 60,000 USD.
