A long list of new members has been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (The Oscars). Among the new 395 members, Vidya Balan, TV empress Ekta Kapoor, and her mother have been invited to join the Academy's "Class Of 2021". Actress Vidya Balan starrer 'Sherni' team released the first look of the film on May 17 on the social media platforms. The new poster reveals Vidya in a new look as forest officer. Vidya Balan-starrer Natkhat has officially entered the race for the upcoming Oscars in the Best Short Film category. In tandem with the announcement, the makers have tweeted an exclusive snippet of the film. The much-acclaimed short film produced by Ronnie Screwvala showed a mother educating her son on the delicate theme of gender equality. Directed by Shaan Vyas and co-written by Annukampa Harsh, the movie was released in June 2020.
