Bollywood actor Vidya Balan, who has always been vocal about the issues of women and has recently revealed about herself facing dinner table sexism. “I remember people telling me over a dinner that ‘Oh my god, you don’t know how to cook’, she shared. Commenting over her remarks, the actor pointed out that criticism is sharper when it comes to women.

Vidya Balan-starrer Natkhat has officially entered the race for the upcoming Oscars in the Best Short Film category. In tandem with the announcement, the makers have tweeted an exclusive snippet of the film. The much-acclaimed short film produced by Ronnie Screwvala showed a mother educating her son on the delicate theme of gender equality. Directed by Shaan Vyas and co-written by Annukampa Harsh, the movie was released in June 2020.
