A long list of new members has been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (The Oscars). Among the new 395 members, Vidya Balan, TV empress Ekta Kapoor, and her mother have been invited to join the Academy's "Class Of 2021". Actress Vidya Balan starrer 'Sherni' team released the first look of the film on May 17 on the social media platforms. The new poster reveals Vidya in a new look as forest officer. The storyline is expected to be riveting with the actors Ila Arun, Sharad Saxena, Neeraj Kabi, Mukul Chaddha, and Vijay Raaz. Directed by Amit Masurkar, Sherni is scheduled to release in June on Amazon Prime Video.

In tandem with the announcement, the makers have tweeted an exclusive snippet of the film. The much-acclaimed short film produced by Ronnie Screwvala showed a mother educating her son on the delicate theme of gender equality.
