Metro Rail Projects In Vijaywada And Vishakhapatnam gets Headway
The Vijaywada and Vishakhapatnam metro projects have undergone several changes in the past five years made by the TDP term and the YSCRP government. The metro will be 76.9 km long with the budget of Rs. 14,000 crores, excluding the land acquisition cost of Rs. 1240 crore. The made-up is broken into two phases each with a distance covering 38.74 km each.

Indore Surpasses Surat, Vijaywada To Become India's Cleanest City
Madhya Pradesh's Indore again became the cleanest city of India by securing the first position in the Swach Survenkshan 2021 awards. The awards were announced by President Ram Nath Kovind on November 20. Surat in Gujarat and Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh secured the second and third positions, respectively.
