The beautification plan worth 4.62 crores which was developed for the Rajasthan's 'Khaba' village by the "Art and cultural department" has been put on hold after the villagers opposed it. However, the villagers believe that constructing a wall boundary around the village will affect the water level in the ponds. The husband of Karhi village’s sarpanch in Chhattisgarh’s Dhamtari district was killed by Maoists on November 3.
