Prashasan Gaon ke Sang: A Campaign To Help Villagers Access Local Services

Beautification Project Worth 4.6 Crores Slows Down After Protest In Khaba
The beautification plan worth 4.62 crores which was developed for the Rajasthan's 'Khaba' village by the "Art and cultural department" has been put on hold after the villagers opposed it. However, the villagers believe that constructing a wall boundary around the village will affect the water level in the ponds. Moreover, a group of panel members has been shortlisted and asked to submit a report considering 'Khaba conservation'.

Primary School Teacher Conserves Water, Plants Trees To Help Villagers
Primary school teacher Bhaktaraj Garje tried all means to encourage students in Kulalwadi in Maharashtra’s Sangli district to attend schools, however, he failed. Later he realised that their absence from school is due to the water scarcity and migrant worker parents. To diminish the problem faced by the villagers, the 33-year-old teacher conserved crores of litres of water and planted 25,000 trees to bring prosperity to the village.

Chhattisgarh: Village Sarpanch's Husband Allegedly Killed by Maoists
The husband of Karhi village’s sarpanch in Chhattisgarh’s Dhamtari district was killed by Maoists on November 3. The victim, identified as Niresh Kumar Kunjam (35), was allegedly suspected of being a police informer.
