No Response From Authority Over Violence Against Women, Says NCW Chairperson
The Manipur Violent assault has led to a detailed discussion over security of citizens, especially women amid the ongoing war in Manipur. After the viral incident, the National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairperson Rekha Sharma said, they tried connection the authorities over incidents of violence against women but no response was received from them. She further said, "We reached out to authorities but no response."

UN Grants $25 Mn Funds To Women-Led Organization To Fight Gender Violence
To support the women-led organizations, the UN has released $25 million funds from its emergency tranche that will aid issues related to the women. It asked its entities UN Population Fund and UN Women to spend at least 30% of the funds to organizations run by women against gender issues. UN top official Mark Lowcock said this smart investment will abridge the gender inequality worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic.
