After Pakistan Ex-PM Imran Khan, the Islamabad Police also arrested Mehmood Qureshi, the former Foreign Minister. The police cited the provocation of violent protest, disturbing law & order and peace to be reasons for the detention of Qureshi, on May 11. Notably, after the arrest of Imran Khan, his party the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf called for a nationwide protest, against Khan's arrest in corruption charges.

A violent protest broke out in Uttar Pradesh after a 15-year-old Dalit teen died after his teacher beat him brutally. The matter escalated as the accused teacher Ashwini Singh was from the upper caste and thrashed the boy Nikhit Dohre, to death, only because of a spelling error, at school. The villagers and family demanded arrest of the teacher, who is currently on run. Moreover, a FIR has been registered.
Disappointed with the new "Agnipath Recruitment Scheme" in Army, aspirants staged a violent protests erupted in Bihar and Utarakhand. On June 16, they intensified their protests, torched trains and public properties. They also started stone-pelting at Ara railway station.
