Chinese President XI Jinping has made a statement through a letter by China's ambassador to the United States that his country is ready to resolve the differences between both countries. Notably, Mr. Xi's statement came ahead of a crucial virtual meeting with the United States' President Joe Biden. However, no specific date has been issued for the meeting but it's expected to be held by next week.

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot announced a monetary aid of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the deceased who suffered death due to heavy rains, and Rs 2 lakh to the injured in the state on August 7. The money was allocated from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund through a virtual meeting. The state govt has also planned to compensate the incurred crop damage after a revenue survey.
