Meta Discontinues Most Popular VR Game For Quest 1 Customers

Meta is discontinuing Quest 1 VR headset support for "Population: One," their popular VR battle-royale game. Owners of Quest 1 will be unable to launch or play the game after October 31 said BigBox VR. Players can still play Quest 1 if they have a VR-capable PC. Population: One's account progress, in-app purchases, and crossplay are still available on compatible devices such as Meta Quest 2 and Oculus Rift.

Facebook To Reintroduce Headsets With 'Better' VR Experience

Facebook Research Lab has been working on reinventing the idea of headsets and re-figuring them in such a manner that the enlarged eyes of the users are visible through "octagonal googles". The idea behind this invention is to make the user's faces more visible in virtual reality and to have an easier eye contact with fellow users. FRL scientist Nathan Matsuda has been working on it since 2019.

Zuckerberg Aims To Modify Facebook Into Online 'Metaverse Company'

QuaQua VR Offers 360-degree Virtual Tour Experience at Delhi Airport

Indira Gandhi International airport, Delhi offers a virtual touring experience to passengers in a VR booth. Installed and run by QuaQua - a virtual travel guide platform, the booth provides a 360-degree virtual tour on destinations that the travellers choose. Reportedly, the destinations include Venice and Egypt among the others. Founder Sandesh Reddy said, "We started with two titles on launch day and now we are close to 10."
