Toyota Retains World's Largest Car-Maker Title

Toyota has become the world's largest "car-seller" for the second time in a row with an increase of 10.1% in vehicle sales. The Japanese car-maker has reportedly sold 10.5 million vehicles in 2021. Volkswagen sold 8.9 million vehicles in 2021, bagging the second spot. Volkswagen stated that the sales figures were affected due to a chip shortage the company faced owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Skoda Launches All New Slavia In India: Bookings Open

The all-new Skoda Slavia compact sedan made its global debut in India on November 18. According to reports, the car is based on the company's localised MQB-A0-IN platform, officially replaces the Rapid sedan. Volkswagen Launches Its New SUVW Taigun For Indian Customers

Taigun is a German-engineered 'SUVW' that is the newest entrant in the mid-size SUV category. The launch began with a visual display at a large-outdoor-event, hosted at Central Park in Delhi's renowned Connaught Place. Huge LED grids which took 144 hours to build, were programmed to create color combinations with music. Moreover, 70 feet towers were constructed to support cameras for broadcasting the event around the world.

The MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Car Racing Championship is scheduled for September 25 at the MMRT. Around 9 car races and about 76 competitions are lined up for the event. Making comeback on track after the pandemic, the highlight of the event is going to be the MRF Formula 1600 class. Volkswagen Unveils New Polo GTI; To Be Launched Globally In June

The new Volkswagen Polo GTI is ready for its world debut in June 2021 and the vehicle will apparently be more sportier version of the Polo hatchback.
