Audi Commences Bookings For Q2 Compact SUV in India 

Audi has opened bookings for it's cheapest SUV, Audi Q2, in India. The Q2 compact SUV is expected to be launched this month, and customers can book the car with an advance of Rs 2 lakh at Audi's official website or at any authorised showroom. Reportedly, the SUV can speed up from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.5 seconds, and will be supported by Volkswagen AG's MQB platform.

Volkswagen T-Roc's First Lot Sold Out; Bookings Closed

Volkswagen India on September 9 shelved the bookings for its 'T-Roc SUV' as all the stock has been sold out. Reportedly, the car has received an excellent response from the customers though there was a delay in the delivery due to the pandemic. "We are thrilled with the response received, " said Volkswagen India Director Steffen Knapp. Volkswagen had launched T-Roc in the month of March, 2020 at Rs.19.99 lakh.

Volkswagen closing in on Tesla in manufacturing E-Cars

Volkswagen Eyes to Overtake Tesla in E-car Segment

Bernd Osterloh, council chairman of Volkswagen AG, claimed that the company is closing the gap with Tesla and might overtake it in terms of e-car manufacturing and software development. Osterloh, in an interview with Welt am Sonntag, said that if Tesla through 3 factories could produce up to 500,000 cars then Volkswagen aimed to produce about 1.5 million. He also said Volkswagen is eyeing to achieve the target by 2023.
