MLS: DC United Appoints Wayne Rooney As Head Coach
Wayne Rooney appointed as head coach on July 13, four years after joining D.C.United as a player. Rooney feels that taking over as coach of D.C.United would help him progress his management career while also helping the struggling MLS team. "To really come here, back to the MLS, back to D.C.United was an exciting challenge for me and something which I feel can develop me as a coach," Rooney said.

Footballer Wayne Rooney Announces Retirement, To Manage Derby County
British footballer and former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney on January 15 announced his retirement from professional career.
