Alerting people amid heatwaves in North India, on April 28, Skymet Weather predicted the scorching heatwaves will continue till April-end. Gulmarg & Pahalgam in Kashmir received fresh snowfall, while the minimum temperature dropped slightly in most of its parts. In Srinagar, the minimum temperature settled at a low of 2.2°C, while Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 2.2°C. The officials in Meteorological Department have said that weather will remain cloudy in the Jammu & Kashmir, with possibility of rain or snow during January 22-23.

The Air Quality Index of Delhi continues to remain in the "moderate" category on January 13. According to SAFAR, the national capital's AQI is 142. On January 12, the AQI of Delhi slipped from the "satisfactory" category to the "moderate". The city's air quality was in the "satisfactory category" for the last three days from January 9 to January 11. As per government agencies, AQI of 101-200 is considered "moderate". 

Following two days of disruption and cancellation of around 79 flights, 35 scheduled flights arrived at Srinagar International Airport on January 6.  The flights were landed after improvement in weather conditions.
