The state of Karnataka has been witnessed 30% additional rain in June and July, causing widespread damage to life and property. Karnataka received 450.20mm of rainfall between June 1 and July 17, compared to the usual 347.60mm. Delhi experienced rain, providing some relief from the stifling heat on July 16. The lowest temperature in Delhi on July 16 was 28.3 degrees Celsius, one degree above average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). “Thunderstorm with moderate to heavy intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of many places of entire Delhi during next 2 hours,” tweeted RWFC, New Delhi.

Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh is likely to experience extremely heavy rainfall in the next few days, reported IMD, on July 11. According to IMD forecast, extremely heavy rainfall is expected in Telangana between July 10 and 12, between July 10 and 14 in Maharashtra and Gujarat, between July 13 and 14 in Saurashtra and Kutch. Eastern Rajasthan To Receive Heavy-Moderate Rainfall For Next 3-4 Days: IMD
In eastern Rajasthan, many places like Khanpur of Jhalawar, Sarmathura of Dholpur and Mandhana of Kota recorded 7 cm of rainfall each. On July 10, the IMD issued alert and forecasted thunderstorms, and heavy to moderate rainfall.
