Hearing the plea demanding a stay on FIRs against the actors and producers of web-series Tandav, the Supreme Court cited that the Freedom of expression is not absolute. The SC bench headed by Ashok Bhushan disagreed to pass any direction to stay the FIR. Moreover, the top court advised the petitioners to approach High Courts for quashing the cases. It is also observed that the police can file closure reports if the makers have apologized.

Streaming giant Amazon Prime Video on December 28 shared the first look of its web series 'The Family Man 2', which is set to be released on February 12. Lead actor Manoj Bajpai also shared the teaser picture on Instagram captioning it, "The wait is over. This is our New Year's gift for you. Open it carefully." The series will progress with the returning cast including Sharad Kelkar, Priyamani and Shreya Dhanwanthary.

Actor-director Tigmanshu Dhulia will be adapting author Vikas Swarup's novel 'Six Suspects' in the form of web-series. The story of the thriller will revolve around a murder of a politician's son from Uttar Pradesh and the lives and motives of the six suspects. The web-series will be streamed on Hotstar. It will mark Dhulia's third collaboration with Hotstar. However, shooting for the web-series is yet to begin.

The 10-part series has garnered appreciation from the critics and is rated with 10-stars 16,000 times. With a 9.6/10 average rating, the series has surpassed epic shows such as 'Chernobyl', and 'Game of Thrones'. The series is based on a scam in Indian Stock Market during 1992.
HBO will soon develop a six-episode series on Elon Musk's space exploration company Space X. The series, which is adapted from Ashlee Vance's book, 'Elon Musk: Tesla, Space X, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future', will showcase the settings and circumstances in which the first SpaceX rocket was launched. Reportedly, actor Channing Tatum will be producing the HBO project, which is said to have been written by Doug Jung.

Marvel Studios has signed newcomer Iman Vellani to play the lead in Disney+ series, Ms Marvel, which was announced in 2019 D23 Expo. Ms Marvel, aka Kamala Khan, is a Pakistani-American teenager who first appeared in the Comics in 2014. The web-series will be directed by Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon. Marvel chief, Kevin Feige, has hinted that she might appear in Marvel movies also.

The Upcoming Disney+Hotstar mini-series "OK Computer" which is currently under post-production work, will feature actor Radhika Apte and Vijay Varma in the lead role. Amazon Prime Video has uploaded the entire first season of 'Mirzapur' on their official YouTube channel for free. The surprising move came before the launch of the second installment of the show.
