Web Series 'Grahan' Faces Backlash From Sikh Community
The Sikh community has been outraged by the web series "Grahan" which is set to launch on June 24 in Disney+Hotstar. The president of the SGPC community, considered as the top body amongst the Sikh community, has called for a ban on the series which is based on the anti-Sikh riots of 1984. Actor Jimmy Sheirgill, director Eshwar Nivas and 30 other crew members of the web series 'Your Honour' have been booked by police for violating COVID-19 imposed curfew in Punjab's Ludhiana. Despite the curfew from 6 PM, the crew went on shooting at a local school post 6 PM, April 27 with over 100 people present at the location. An FIR has been registered against the crew for violating the law.
