3 Girls Drown After Falling Into Well While Grazing Goats: Madhya Pradesh

In a tragic incident, three girls drowned to death after falling into an unmounted well while grazing goats, on April 30. The incident occurred at Bhesun village in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas district, which comes under the jurisdiction of Kantafod police station. The deceased identified as Ishika Dhurve (9), Sandhya Kumre (8) and Sadhna Balawi (8), reportedly fell into the well which was 12-feet in depth.

Mentally Ill Father Throws Children In Well: Jaunpur

In a shocking incident, a father allegedly threw his two young children in a well in Nayepura village, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, said police on April 25. Circle Officer Jitendra Dubey said, Irfan, who is a Saudi Arabia returnee and mentally ill, allegedly threw his children Armaan (5) and Saumya (7) in the well. The bodies have been brought out of the well and Irfan has been arrested.

Old Man Slips Into Well, Survives 3 Days With No Food

Narayana, an 80-year-old man was rescued by Telangana's Siddipet district police after he slipped into a well and survived for nearly three days. The senior citizen fell into the well while he was returning home by foot after attending an event on June 29. However, he managed to survive without food for three days and was rescued by the police when a farmer heard his cry for help.

4-Month-Old Baby Elephant Rescued From Well In West Bengal

The West Bengal forest department on January 26 rescued a four-month-old baby elephant trapped in a well in Jhargram district. However, it took over two-and-a-half-hours to rescue and unite the jumbo with its mother. Reportedly, the animal had fallen into the well while crossing the area with its large herd. Upon noticing, the locals called the forest officials who dug an adjacent well with an earthmover to rescue the elephant calf.
