Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina has sent 600 kg of mangoes as a gift to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. "Mangoes comprising the ‘Himsagar' and ‘Langra' variants have been sent to Banerjee, as part of diplomatic efforts. Last year, too, we had sent mangoes," said an official in the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission. The Bangladesh PM has also sent mangoes to all the chief ministers of the northeast states.

Two-time West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on May 5 took the oath for the post for her third consecutive term. The low-key event was held at the Raj Bhavan in Kolkata, and Mamata was sworn in as the CM by Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar. The Trinamool Congress supremo took the oath in 'Bengali'.
