WhatsApp To Launch New Feature Allowing Users To React To Messages Using Any Emoji

WhatsApp, Meta's messaging service, has revealed that it would soon begin rolling out a new feature that will allow users to reply to messages with any emoji of their choosing. There are presently just six emojis available on the site for users to choose from when reacting to messages. Additionally, WhatsApp is developing a feature that will enable iOS users to hide their online status from others.

WhatsApp CEO Warns Users To Be Wary Of Fake Versions

WhatsApp has cautioned the users, urging them to be wary of phony versions of the messaging service. Will Cathcart, the CEO of WhatsApp, has asked people on Twitter not to use the tweaked version of WhatsApp because users may get into severe problems and their data can be leaked. Cathcart warned that apps like "Hey WhatsApp" from a developer named "HeyMods" are hazardous and should be avoided.

WhatsApp, the Meta-owned messaging service, is introducing a new feature that allows beta users to use a filter button to sort their unread conversations. The upgrade for the Desktop beta app for Windows and macOS was released two weeks ago. "When you use the new unread chat filter, WhatsApp will automatically list all your unread messages, so it is now easier to manage them," according to WABetaInfo.

WhatsApp Likely To Roll Out 'Quick Reactions Feature' For Stories

WhatsApp users may soon be able to react to others' Stories with a new 'Quick Reactions' feature. WhatsApp has started to roll out emoji reaction feature for selected Android beta users. The feature allows users to react to messages using emojis, just like in Instagram. The emoji reaction includes like, love, sad, surprised, thanks and laugh. The feature is likely to be launched for iOS and desktop application as well, reported ANI. So far, the feature remains region-specific and has been enabled only to few beta users.
