Rare Mandarin Duck Witnessed In Assam's Wetlands After 118-Years
The Wildlife Trust survey team has spotted a rare Mandarin duck for the first in 118-years at the Assam’s Maguri-Motapung Beel. Reportedly, the rare white-winged duck, native to East-Asia was sighted in Assam’s Tinsukia district. Interestingly, the distinct duck, also found in Eastern Europe, nests in trees.
