Rajya Sabha Adjourned Sine Die Amid Uproar From Opposition MPs
The Rajya Sabha was adjourned sine die, after repeated uproar of the opposition MPs, on December 22. Chairman Venkaiah Naidu, adjourned the session and said, Winter Session concludes today with much below business, reported ANI. Initially, the session was scheduled to end on December 23, however due to constant uproar of opposition over suspension of 12 MPs, the Winter Parliament Session was adjourned a day ahead.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat To Table Dam Safety Bill 2019 In Rajya Sabha
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will again table "Dam Safety Bill 2019" in Rajya Sabha during the ongoing winter session of Parliament Session on December 2. Under the bill, specified damns will have systematic surveillance, maintenance, inspection, and operation, avoiding disasters. Earlier on November 1, Shekhawat had moved the bill but due to ruckus by the opposition, it wasn't passed by the House.

Suspended MPs Protest Outside Parliament Premises
The twelve suspended Members of Parliament (MPs) of Rajya Sabha decided to stage a protest in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue, in the Parliament premises, during the ongoing Winter Parliament Session. MPs of Congress, TMC, CPI(M), CPI and Shiv Sena will sit on protest from 10:00 A.M., on December 1, objecting their suspension. The suspension of 12 MPs has now become a major political issue, demanding a revocation.

12 MPs Suspended For Creating 'Disturbance': Winter Parliament Session
A total of 12 Members of Parliament (MPs) were suspended for the rest of the Winter Parliament Session, on November 29. The suspended MPs are from Congress, Shiv Sena, CPI(M), CPI and AITC. Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu suspended the MPs for creating ruckus and "disturbing" the proceedings of the Winter Parliament Session. Reportedly, they will be suspended until December 23, the last day of the Parliament session.

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, on November 29, tabled the Three Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021, which was passed by Rajya Sabha. With this, the bill has officially been approved by the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and will now be sent to the President for his assent. The bill is termed as a winning moment for the farmers who protested against the three farm laws for a year.
