Punjab CM Elect Bhagwant Mann Issues Orders, Withdraw Security Of Former MLAs & Ministers
Bhagwant Mann of AAP has issued orders to withdraw the security of many former ministers and MLAs in Punjab on March 12. Bhojpuri, Maghi Dropped From List Of Regional Languages In Bokaro & Dhanbad Districts
Jharkhand government removed Bhojpuri and Magahi from the list of regional languages of Dhanbad and Bokaro districts amid ongoing protests. In addition, the state department of administrative reforms and Rajbhasha nullified its previous notification of December 24, 2021, that permitted these two languages for appearing in recruitment examinations held by the state staff selection commission.

71 Percent American Believes US Failed In Afghanistan, Says Report
US President Joe Biden seems to face huge flak after a hasty withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. Besides, Biden's approval rating has dropped to 43% after a poll was conducted by New Marist National with NPR and the PBS Newshour. According to the poll, "71% of Americans said that the US role in Afghanistan was a "failure" including majorities of Democrats (66%), Republicans (73%), and independents (75%)."

Bopanna, Sania Slam AITA After False Claim Of A Chance To Qualify
Rohan Bopanna slammed AITA in a tweet on July 19 for "misleading the players, government, media and everyone else" after claiming he still had a chance to qualify for Tokyo Olympics. Afghan Forces Oust Taliban, Gains Control Over Qala-e-Naw City
Taliban entered the Qala-e-Naw city on July 7, and launched their first official attack ever since the US started withdrawing its last troops from Afghanistan. Reportedly, Afghan forces stationed airstrikes to drive them out and take control of the city's major government buildings. "The enemy suffered heavy casualties and now we are advancing and driving the enemy out," said Special Force commander Sayed Nezami.

Afghan Forces To Take Over Bagram Airfield From United States
Afghan National Security and defense force will take charge of 'Bagram Airfield' from the US military after nearly 20 years, said the US officials on July 1. The Airfield was the hub of the US's manhunt against Al-Qaeda and a Warland against the Taliban. However, the decision comes after US President Joe Biden promised to withdraw troops by September 11 in order to end the "forever war."

Serena Williams Pulls Out Of French Open 2020, Cites Achilles Injury
American tennis player Serena Williams dropped out of the French Open 2020 on September 30 after suffering from an Achilles injury. The 23-time Grand Slam winner announced her exit after advancing to the second round of the event. She had hurt her left Achilles tendon during the semi-finals of the US Open. “I think I need four to six weeks of sitting and doing nothing,” Williams said.
