Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal on September 13 announced that its newly built Ola Electric factory for manufacturing electric scooters in Tamil Nadu will entirely be run by women. More companies are now offering medical cover for egg-freezing or egg- harvesting, a treatment where a woman's eggs can be used later for childbearing. Companies like Accenture India and WeWork India have also begun giving this benefit to their employees empowering women employees to have reproductive autonomy, giving them the freedom to choose their motherhood window. Egg harvesting can cost anywhere between R 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh.

Zomato Offers 10 Days 'Period Leave' for Women Employees

Zomato introduced up to 10 days of period leaves in a year for women employees, CEO Deepinder Goyal announced, "I know menstrual cramps are very painful for a lot of women, and we have to support them through it if we want to a truly collaborative culture," he added. Goyal mentioned, any shame or stigma should not be linked to seek for period leave.
