Undertrial Dies In Police Custody, Inquiry Ordered Maharashtra
Dattatreya Wake, an undertrial alleged of harassing a woman, died under the police custody before court trials in Thane. On March 1, the police informed that Dattatreya Warke,who was remanded in an isolated cell awaiting COVID-19 test, died due to seizure. Although he was rushed to the civic hospital, he died during treatment on February 27. The Thane Police ordered an inquiry in the matter.

Mumbai Police Interrogate Accused In 'Bulli Bai' Case
Mumbai Police arrested Vishal Jha, an Engineering student, also an accused in "Bulli Bai" case, on January 4. The case was registered after Muslim woman's pictures were posted on GitHub platform, for "online auction." Bollywood Actress Files Case Against YouTuber Of Harassment
In a complaint made by a Bollywood actress, a criminal case has been registered by Delhi Police in the Vasant Kunj North police station against a YouTuber for stalking and harassing her on social media, officials said on October 10. Reportedly, the actress accused a YouTuber and a Twitter user of circulating some messages that outraged her modesty. DCP Gaurav Sharma stated that further investigation is underway.

AMU Professor Accused of Sexual Harassment Against Woman Employee
On August 19, a woman employee of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) filed a sexual harassment case against four professors. One of the professors had previously filed a case of assault against half a dozen men, which includes the son of the woman employee. Anil Samania, the circle officer of Civil Lines police station stated that since a cross-case has been filed, the matter is being investigated.
