Navy Has Highest Women Participation Among 3 Services; Army Least

With 6.5% of women participation, Indian Navy has recorded highest participation of women among all three services. Women Participation Highest In Bihar Police; National Share Rises By 16%

The Bihar Police has the highest share of female personnel among all the Indian states. It has 25.3% female personnel, followed by Himachal Pradesh (19.15%) and Union Territory of Chandigarh (18.78%). Notably, the percentage of female personnel in the national data has registered a 16% increase from the previous data. However, about 20% of the sanctioned strength in police throughout India is still vacant.
