Employees Offended By Shows Are Free To Leave The Company: Netflix

Netflix intimated that employees who are upset by its shows may leave the firm. It amended its corporate culture memo, titled "Netflix Culture - Seeking Excellence," on May 14, explaining that staff may be required to work on programs that contradict their personal principles. Netflix's decision to retain Dave Chappelle's show 'The Closer' despite criticism labelling it homophobic and transphobic prompted a walkout by a handful of staff.

Court Works Curtails After 2 Die Of COVID-19 In Mathura: Uttar Pradesh

Mathura district judiciary in UP curtailed its functioning, amid spike in COVID-19 cases on January 17. District Judge Rajeev Bharti, issued the order, restricting litigants and staff entry without judge's permission. The decision was taken as per the Allahabad High Court orders, after two COVID-19 deaths in the region. As per the official, the court will function while taking all the necessary precautions till further orders .

Assam Announces Incentives For Vaccination Of Frontline Workers

The government in Assam announced monetary incentives for the frontline workers who have been conducting the vaccination drive. According to Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa, the govt decided to give Rs 1,500 per month, as monetary incentive, to each Auxiliary Nurse Midwife, along with their monthly salary till the vaccination is completed. The state has administered 3.87 crore vaccine doses, with 1.62 crore fully vaccinated people.
