India To Host Street Child Cricket World Cup In 2023
India will be hosting the Street Child Cricket World Cup 2023. The ten-day event, being conducted by Street Child United and Save the Children India, would be held in September next year. Twenty-two teams from 16 different countries would be partaking in the sports tournament. This is the second installment of the event for street children, which was first held in 2019 in England.

Indian Cricketer Mithali Raj became the third cricketer and first woman in the men & women category, to play in six ODI World Cups. Chris Gayle Debunks Retirement Rumours; Wants Last Match In Jamaica
Ending all the speculations about his retirement, popular West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle clarified saying he has no plan to get retirement from international cricket. Men's Hockey Junior World Cup To Be Held Without Spectators
Hockey India and FIH have jointly decided to hold the FIH Odisha men's Hockey Junior World Cup Bhubaneswar 2021 without the presence of spectators, starting from November 24. The decision was taken to avoid the crowd amid the menace of Covid-19 infection. Reportedly, 16 teams from different countries will fight for the title. The classification matches will start on November 30 and the final is scheduled for December 5.

Ukraine Defeats Finland 2-1 In World Cup Qualifier, Grabs 2nd Position
Ukraine defeated Finland 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier on October 9 owing to the goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Roman Yaremchuk. Deepika Kumari, Atanu Das Loses Bronze Medal Archery Match In WC Final
India's archery players, Atanu Das and Deepika Kumari lost bronze medal matches at the world cup final in Yankton (USA). The pair battled in frigid circumstances due to the lack of an Indian recurve instructor on October 1. Das was beaten 6-0 by defending Olympic champion Mete Gazoz of Turkey in a one-sided bronze playoff. He also stepped up as Deepika's coach after she lost against Michelle Kroppen.
