After Cristiano Ronaldo, Australian batter, David Warner removed Coca-Cola bottles from the post-match conference table on October 28. Warner asked, "Can I remove this?", before the commencement of the conference. However, he further said, "If it's good for Cristiano, it's good enough for me," when he was asked to put the bottles back to the table. Besides, the batter scored 65 off 42 balls in the same match.

For the first time ever in the T20 World Cup, International Cricket Council (ICC) will introduce the bat tracking technology. The technology is set to be provided by the Hawk-Eye in select matches in the Super 12 phase. Further, it's reported that the ICC TV production will experience 35 cameras at all the venues. Former cricketer, Naseer Hussain also expressed his excitement about the new technology evolved in the sport.

Bangladesh all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan has surpassed Lasith Malinga, in becoming the leading wicket-taker in the T20I format. Al Hasan currently stands at the top with 108 wickets from 89 matches, while Malinga had taken 107 wickets in 84 matches. Shakib beat the record in the match against Scotland on October 17. Former Indian cricketer Ajit Agarkar on October 16 said that the India-Pakistan match is the most anticipated clash in the World Cup. He emphasized that the match between both countries always brings a tidal wave of emotions. Remembering the 2017 T20 World Cup win, he said, "The entire tournament (2007 T20 World Cup) was dream tour for us. We never thought a bunch of youngsters could achieve such a feat".
