Fire At Wedding At Iraq; 100 Killed & Leaving 150 Injured

In Iraq, a horrific fire incident occurred during a wedding which killed as many as 100 people and left more than 150 injured. The fire happened in Iraq's Nineveh province in its Hamdaniya area, they said. That's a predominantly Christian area just outside of the northern city of Mosul, some 335 km northwest of the capital, Baghdad. In viral footage, charred debris inside of the wedding hall, with firefighters rescuing.

China Becomes Country With Largest Number Of Alzheimer's Patients In World

China has become the country with the largest number of Alzheimer's patients in the world, the state-run Global Times reported. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia and mostly affects people in old age. In China, however, the disease is also occurring at an increasingly younger age. Sources said, about 15.07 million people aged 60 and above in China have dementia, of which 9.83 million have Alzheimer's disease.

Earthquake Of 5.1 Magnitude Hits Indonesia's Northern Sumatra

A 5.1 magnitude quake hit Indonesia's Northern Sumatra province on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said. The temblor that rocked the region at 0407 GMT was epicentered at 0.32 degrees north latitude and 98.70 degrees east longitude, Xinhua news agency reported. Its depth was 10.0 km. Earthquake 6.8 Magnitude Kills 296 People, Confirms US Report

At least 296 people have died after a powerful earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale struck central Morocco, the Interior Ministry confirmed on September 9. According to the US Geological Survey, the epicentre was in the High Atlas Mountains, 71 km south-west of Marrakesh, at a depth of 18.5 km. The quake struck at 11.11 p.m. and videos on social media showed people fleeing on the roads, damaged buildings.
