Xi Jinping Elected As President Of People's Republic Of China
In a major development, Xi Jinping has been elected as the President of People's Republic of China unanimously on March 10. This will be Jinping's third term as the President and is widely expected to continue in power for life.Jinping, 69, was re-elected by the once-in-a-five-year Congress of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC.) The elections were conducted unanimously.

Swati Deve Named To Lead New Centre Of Australia-India Chair
Swati Deve has been appointed to lead the Centre for India-Australia Chair. Foreign Minister Penny Wong made the announcement on February 7, welcoming Dave into a role that she said will “serve as a national platform to further strengthen our relationship with India.” Notably, Swati Dave comes to the position with years of high-ranking corporate experience, coming in corporate and financing sector.
