"Adipurush" Lands In Legal Trouble, Right Wing Moves HC
In a writ petition, right-wing Hindu Sena said Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starter "Adipurush" is not "fit for public." On June 16, the Hindu Sena national president Vishnu Gupta filed the PIL in the Delhi HC and sought the removal of scenes which are putting religious concepts, leaders and others in a bad taste and spotlight. The petitioner further said that the film hurt religious sentiment and should be banned.

SC Not To Interfere In NEET-PG, Counselling To Begin On September 1
The Supreme Court has refused to stall the counselling for NEET PG 2022, scheduled to commence on September 1, The bench comprising of Justices DY Chandrachud and Hima Kohli said, "Counselling is to start from 1st September. Kindly list it before that." Notably, a writ petition was filed against the NBE Medical Sciencedecision to withhold the NEET-PG 2022 answer key and question paper, mismatched key answers and not allowed re-evaluation.

Centre Plans To File Writ Petition Against SC Under SEBCs Case
The Supreme Court on July 1 dismissed the Centre's plea seeking to review SC's previous ruling on May 5, which limits the identification of SEBCs to centres, not the states for granting quotas in jobs & education. However, the bench stated, "We do not find any sufficient ground to entertain this review petition." The decision has left the Centre with their last resort to move a curative writ petition.
