Newly Acquired Yahoo Appoints Tinder Head Jim Lanzone As CEO
Jim Lanzone, who used to be the head of dating app Tinder has been announced as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Yahoo. Reportedly, this decision came days after Apollo Global Management Inc completely acquired Verizon Media for a whopping deal of $5 billion. Besides, Apollo is planning to grow its services to offer Yahoo finance & Yahoo Sports and is focusing on advertising & e-commerce platforms.

'Yahoo Groups' Service To Be Terminated From December 2020
The US-based web service provider Yahoo on October 13 declared the closure of its 'Yahoo Groups'. The company's website will be inaccessible from December 15, 2020 and no emails could be sent or received afterwards. Reportedly, the company faced a "steady decline" for the past several years as the product was unable to serve its long-term purpose. Meanwhile, Yahoo has advised the users to shift to other service providers.
