In a shocking incident, a drunk man slaughtered the person holding a sacrificial goat, on January 16. According to the police, Chalapathi, the accused was inebriated at the time of the sacrifice. A profusely bleeding Suresh was rushed to a government hospital at Madanapalle where he succumbed to injuries.
