Luring Creators YouTube Plans To Pay Users To Create 'Shorts'
Google has created $100 million funds for YouTube Shorts in order to pay users for making engaging content and will roll out this option for users in the US and India. YouTube will get in touch with creators with original content and wide-scale engagement. Although the payment amount is unknown, YouTube plans to keep it up till 2022. This initiative is seen to rival the now banned Chinese app Tiktok.

YouTube Launches 'YouTube Shorts', with Features Similar to That of TikTok's
On September 14, Alphabet, parent company of Google Inc. launched YouTube Shorts - a replica of TikTok. It is a 15-second short video app, with features similar to TikTok. The app will be initially launched in India for android users and in due time will be released in other countries and to iOS platform. YouTube also joined hands with T-Series and Believe Digital for adding music in the app.
