No Interim Relief For Zee CEO Punit Goenka In SEBI Case

The Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) has refused to provide interim relief to former Zee Entertainment CEO Punit Goenka in a SEBI case. On August 30, the media sources reported that the tribunal has given time to SEBI till September 4, asking them to file a reply on the matter. Furthermore, the next hearing will take place on September 8.

Promoters Subhash Chandra And Son, Punit Barred From Holding Key Roles

Zee Appeals To Bombay HC Over ‘Illegal & Invalid' Letter From Top Shareholder

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd has filed a petition with the Bombay High Court, claiming that a demand letter given by its top shareholders, Invesco-Developing-Markets-Fund and OFI-Global-China-Fund, is "illegal and invalid." The company, on Oct 2, informed the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange of the latest development. Earlier, Zee Board stated that the request had numerous legal flaws.

Yes Bank's Petition Against Zee Entertainment Quashed by Bombay High Court

Yes Bank's plea for preventing Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) from selling its assets was rejected by the Bombay HC on August 19. The petition had requested to bar ZEEL MD Punit Goenka from leaving the country as well. The case pertains to a 'letter of comfort' issued by Punit Goenka to Yes Bank as a guarantee against loan of over $50 Million, which was taken by a Zee subsidiary.
