Online food delivery platform Zomato on Saturday said the auditor of its subsidiary Zomato Hyperpure Pvt Ltd, BB & Associates has resigned. In Maharashtra’s Pune, a food delivery person allegedly molesting a girl on September 20. The accused, identified as Raees Shaikh went to deliver food to a 19-year-old girl on September 17. He reportedly asked her for water, and when she handed it over to him, he grabbed her and molested her. He reportedly kissed her twice on the cheek. A case under Sections 354 and 354 A has been filed.

Zomato's acquisition of instant delivery service platform Blinkit did not go over well with investors, as the company's shares have dropped more than 20% since the announcement. On June 24, Zomato's Board of Directors authorized to purchase of Blinkit for Rs 4,447 crore. Zomato shares closed at Rs 54.9 on July 1, down around 23%. According to National Stock Exchange statistics, the company's current market value is Rs 43,147 crore.   

Sumit Saurabh from Delhi used the app Zomato to order coffee from Third Wave Coffee. He took to Twitter to share a picture of the drink, which appeared to contain a piece of chicken. The coffee company and Zomato have apologised and offered him a Pro Membership as reimbursement for the mix-up. "I am making it clear again, my experience was bad, but things are sorted and clear," he tweeted.
