India Qualifies to the Semi-Finals of FIDE Online Chess Olympiad
India has entered the semifinals of the FIDE Online Chess Olympiad by beating Armenia on August 28. India defeated Armenia 3.5-2.5 in the opener. An unexpected event took place when Armenia appealed against the result of Nihal Sarin defeating Haik M Martirosyan as they claimed it was due to a disconnection from "chess.com's" side. However, the appeal was rejected by the committee and India was qualified to the semi-finals.
