Punjab Ends Losing Streak After Beating Bangalore In Last-ball Thriller
Kings XI Punjab bagged its second victory in the IPL 2020 after defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in 31st match of the tournament. Interestingly, Punjab's both the victories came against the same team. RCB chose batting after winning the toss but things went awry owing to too many experiences in batting order. Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube were sent up in the batting-order, pushing AB de Villiers down. This surely hurt RCB's scoreboard, albeit Kohli's 48 runs and Chris Morris' fiery cameo (25 off 8) took the team's total to a satisfying 171. Chasing the target, Punjab began well with a 78-run opening partnership. Chris Gayle, coming one-down, also scored a fifty in his first appearance in the IPL-13. However, RCB choked easy-going Punjab in the last two overs and converted the match into a last-ball thriller. Punjab, which needed to score just two runs in 20th over, could win only on last ball with Nicholas Pooran's six.
