J&K: 4 BJP Leaders Resign due to Violence against Party Workers by Terrorists
Four Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam resigned from the party on August 9, after BJP worker Abdul Hamid Najar was shot and critically injured by militants earlier in the day. According to party president Ravinder Raina, such terror attacks in J&K have been common from the last 30 years and are "acts of cowardice" that portray "Pakistan's frustration". Najar has been shifted to a hospital.
