Rising Chinese Influence Has Resulted In Loss Of Grazing Area Near Gogra: Ladakh Councilor
According to Konchok Stanzin, a councilor from Chushul, villagers have lost access to a huge grazing area near Gogra in eastern Ladakh as a result of rising Chinese-presence in the area. Since April-May 2020, Indian and Chinese-forces have been involved in a standoff at Gogra, one of many outposts in eastern-Ladakh. Forces have withdrawn from the Pangong Tso and Gogra sectors, establishing "no zones" along the delimited Line of Actual-Control.
