Maharashtra: SC Mandates Final-Year Exams, State Govt Requests Postponement
Maharashtra being the most affected state due to Coronavirus, had initially postponed exams. However, Supreme Court's recent verdict has made final-year examinations compulsory. The exams have been ordered to be conducted before September 30. The Maharashtra government has formed a six-member committee to figure out ways of conducting the exam. Governor BS Koshyari gave permission to students to appear online. Reportedly, a request of postponing the exams has been raised to the Governor.
