Delhi AQI Is Worse, Triggers Ban On Non-Essential Construction, Closure Of Schools
Severe Air Quality of National Capital Region (NCR)-Delhi triggered a ban on construction works, and closure of schools. According to sources, the concerned authority expressed health concern, as the Air Quality Index (AQI) fell to very poor category, on November 2. Alarmed by the situation, Centre's pollution control panel ordered an immediate ban on non-essential construction work, stone crushing and mining, along with four-wheelers odd-even rule.
