Aarogya Setu' Attracts Appreciation Globally; WHO Chief Says App Helped Identify COVID Clusters
India's mobile application for COVID-19 contact tracing, 'Aarogya Setu' has garnered appreciation globally. The World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, while speaking at a media briefing, said that the application helped the city public health departments in identifying COVID-19 clusters, which in-turn provided a basis to “expand testing in a targeted way.” Reportedly, 'Aarogya Setu' which was launched in April has been downloaded by over 150 million users.
