Indian Air Force Develops Highest Moving ATC Tower In Ladakh
The world's highest mobile Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower has been set up at the Advanced Landing Ground in the eastern Ladakh region by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The ATC manages fixed-wing aircrafts and choppers which operate in the region. The IAF has also positioned the "Igla man-portable missiles" in the region for tackling aerial attacks. India is also thinking about constructing airfields near Line of Actual Control (LAC).
