State Government Sets Up Expert Committee To Resolve Hijab Row: Karnataka
Karnataka government has set up an expert committee to resolve the issue involving wearing of hijabs inside the classroom. Six Muslim girls in the Udupi district were barred from attending classes for wearing hijabs, since the last week of December 2021. The committee will study the dress code being followed in various states. Until the committee recommendation comes, all girls have been asked to adhere to uniform rules.
