Gujarat: Nine Flood-affected People Rescued by NDRF Personnel in Vadodara
National Disaster Response Force personnel on August 31 rescued atleast 9 people from a flooded ashram on the banks of the river Narmada in Vadodara. The people rescued, residents of Chandod village, were shifted to safer places in view of the flood-like situation in Gujarat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has alerted for turbulent weather along the coast of Gujarat, citing "active-monsoon-conditions".
